‘Warca’ Coffee

Distinctive, curved shape, steel can for coffee, allowing for easy handling by the consumer. The closure is made of polypropylene and has a double open easy system which allows for a partial opening of the can to pour out the measure, and then, in order to be able to reuse the can afterwards, the cover can be removed so that the can is completely open. The lid of the can allows the user to measure the quantity of coffee according to his taste.

marketing & design challenge:

The concept was born out of the brandowner’s desire to differentiate its product on the shelf with an innovative, new packaging, to valorise his product thanks to a ‘premium’ positioning, whilst at the same time responding better to consumer needs

benefits:

A steel can with hermetic closure, top of the range quality, allowing good preservation of the product quality. An attractive curved shape allowing easy handling. A measuring cap allowing to measure out the coffee An opening system ‘double open easy’ with a pouring lip allowing easy measuring of the product and possible reuse of the can. Two removable labels, giving the specificities of each of the respective coffee types. The labels can be removed to leave the can totally bare. Three different colour caps to distinguish easily between the three coffee types. A leaflet for the consumer, giving information on the characteristics of the products and explaining how to use the can. The can is easily stackable.

The can was produced by a process of mechanical expansion on a traditional, welded can, with embossing on the image of the coffee cup and the steam which appears on the front
